Kitchener Waterloo Prosthodontics was founded by Dr. Allen Burgoyne in 1990 at its current location.

Dr. Burgoyne received his Doctor of Dental Surgery(DDS) from the University of Western Ontario, London, Canada in 1984.  Graduating in the top of his class he received many honors and awards.  After 2 years of teaching, research and private practice he was accepted into the prestigous and world reknown graduate program in Periodontal-Prosthetics at the University of Washington in Seattle.  In 1989 he completed a Master of Science in Dentistry(MSD) and his Certificate in Prosthodontics and returned to a half-time teaching position and private practice in London, Ontario, Canada in 1989.  Since 1991 he has been in full time private practice in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.  Dr. Burgoyne is an internationally known speaker.   He has lectured on aesthetics, prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Canada and internationally.   He is the author of several scientific papers a book chapter and has given over 300 continuing dental education seminars.

Dr. Burgoyne is a member of the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada, the American College of Prosthodontists,  the Academy of Osseointegration. He is one of a handful of Canadian dental specialists invited to be a member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry.   He is a Fellow of the International Team for Oral Implantology(ITI), a Fellow of the International College of Dentists(FICD) and a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy(PFA).  In January 2018 he was elected by his peers as the Chairman of the Canadian Section of the ITI.  Dr. Burgoyne is a past-president of the Association of Prosthodontists of Ontario, a former Assistant Professor at the University of Western Ontario and a former Clinical Instructor at the University of Washington. 

 

Dr. Burgoyne enjoys travel with his family, playing golf and squash.  While he no longer plays hockey, he played for the University of Washington during his residency program from 1986 to 1989.
